Egyptian Style office

In this project I made my very first finishes board. I was given the theme of an egyptian style office and had to use a pretty ridiculous egyptian throne chair, and a little tile. Here is how it turned out.

Shape Project

The concept of the shape project was to take a photograph showing clear dimension, and create a composition by flattening out and abstracting the original shapes. The photograph used for the shape project was the same photograph used for the below mentioned line project. This shows the amazing difference between the use of the element of line, and the element of shape, using the same inspiration. 

 

Line Project

The purpose of the line project was to add dimension through the element of line, and to understand the feelings conveyed by different line type.  In this project a black pen was used to transform an original photograph with shapes and forms, into a composition composed completely of lines.

Perspective

This assignment was focused on learning perspective by adding dimension to a cube through simple three-dimensional shapes. So far the presentation class has done several similar assignments to better understand how to visually present ideas through drawing and sketching.
